Silas Hohulin remarried March 16, 1930, to Lydia Ann Steiner born August 23, 1902 eldest daughter of Menno and Sophia (Strahm) Steiner.
Silas and Lydia were married by Elder Jacob Edelman in the Apostolic Christian church, at Sabetha Kansas.
To this union seven children were born.

Mary Louise July 17, 1942 Peoria, Illinois
After Silas and Lydia were married they lived in Fort Scott, Kansas for a short time. Moved on a farm near Sabetha, Kansas.
Lydia was a kind mother to her small stepson Martin Dale age two years, Martin always thought a lot of her. It is no small thing to step into a home and care for another woman’s child. God will bless her for her kindness.
Martin Dale and Edith Kaiser were married Sunday October 16, 1948 by Elder Joe A. Getz at the Apostolic Christian Church at Morton, Illinois
Edith Sophia the only daughter of Carl and Lillian (Stortz) Kaiser was born June 12, 1926.
Both Martin and Edith repented young and were baptized. Their son William Martin was born April 16, 1950.
Silas and Lydia moved from Sabetha, Kansas to Peoria, Illinois. For a while Silas worked at the Caterpillar Tractor Co. He was not happy there as Silas as a born farmer.
Their children are growing into fine young men and women, they have a lot of good help. Farm many acres, do a lot of milking, feed a lot if hogs.
Everyone is welcome at their home, Silas enjoys visiting and entertaining their many friends. We that live in the city are always ready to go out to the farm, for a chicken dinner or picnic out in the woods.
Silas visits the sick and all who are in need, loves to give.
