Ezra Hohulin remarried November 8, 1942, to Mary Elizabeth Thomas born December 9, 1909 Eldest daughter of Adam and Martha (Fischer) Thomas.
Ezra and Mary were married by Elder Emil Schubert at the Apostolic Christian Church, in Peoria, Illinois.
To this union three daughters were born.
Mary Jeanette August 14, 1943 Peoria, Illinois
Elizabeth Jean May 23, 1945 Peoria, Illinois
Alice Ann September 10, 1948 Peoria, Illinois
Elizabeth Jean died June 1, 1945, at the Methodist Hospital, in Peoria, Illinois was buried beside her Grandfather Thomas, in the church lot, at Springdale Cemetery in Peoria, Illinois. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Mary repented and was baptized August 8, 1926, by Elder Michael Mangold, at the Apostolic Christian Church in Roanoke, Illinois. Ezra repented and as baptized January 11, 1942, by Elder Emil Schubert at the Apostolic Christian Church, in Peoria, Illinois. Mary said, I married a new Ezra.
Mary Thomas did housework in Peoria, until Ezra came along. That changed her whole life, Mary opened her heart and home to Ezra and his six motherless little children, that is the greatest undertaking a girl can do, to care and love some other woman’s children, God will bless Mary for it.
Ezra works at the Caterpillar Tractor Co. has been there many years, is thankful for his job. Evenings at home he repairs and sells new bicycles. Has a nice shop in the basement of their home at 312 Frye Avenue in Peoria, Illinois.
Ezra looks forward to vacation time, they have spent a number of vacations in Minnesota land of a thousand lakes, were they rent a cabin, go fishing, swim, and rest. Over Sunday visit with old friends at Morris, Minnesota Ezra enjoys the great outdoors, “God’s Creation”
